Check-In
Artist: Daniel Constantinescu
May 24 - June 14. 2013

Sometimes I go traveling accompanied only by emotions that the unexpected and the discovery, inherent features to the traveling process, arouse in each of us. At other times my inner bag is filled with thoughts and facts, read, learned or experienced from far away and long ago, about the place I am traveling to.
My trips are guided by my mental and emotional loading, subsequent to a narrative dimension, or to a fictional one, which are always revealed by the images produced during the voyage. Some of those images are taken and collected in the rhythm of a journal, searching for the unforeseen, while other are constructed as a projection from inside, of those thoughts, experiences and feelings coming from the past, but still leaving room for the unexpected.
The CHECK - IN project is thus a query, by means of photographic images, on the journey process, and on my personal relationship to the visited places.
I chose for this exhibition to bring together images from two countries located at geographical and cultural extremes: Norway and Lebanon.
